Timothy J. Gramatovich, CFA

Mr. Gramatovich serves as the Chief Investment Officer for Gateway Credit Partners. In this role, he is responsible for developing investment strategies and themes as well as making investment decisions and overseeing portfolio composition. Mr. Gramatovich has over 35 years of experience in the leveraged finance industry, dating back to the early days of the high yield market. Prior to founding Gateway, he was the Co-Founder and Chief Investment officer of Peritus Asset Management. During his time at Peritus, he was responsible for the creation and management of several cash flow CDOs focusing on high yield bonds, launching the first actively managed high yield ETF, and managing high yield portfolios for individual and institutional accounts. Before founding Peritus, Mr. Gramatovich was a Portfolio Manager with Smith Barney’s Asset Management Division in Los Angeles, where he managed high yield portfolios for high-net-worth individuals and institutions. Prior to joining Smith Barney, he was a Senior Vice President with Aegis Asset Management Inc. in Los Angeles, setting up their buyside high yield effort. During his career, Mr. Gramatovich worked as a qualified expert on financing and valuation issues for the U.S. Trustee in the Federal Bankruptcy Courts of Los Angeles County. He began his career with Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1985 assisting in the development and marketing of high yield corporate cash management products. Mr. Gramatovich is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute. He is a graduate of the New York Institute of Finance.

Tyler C. Gramatovich, CFA

Tyler Gramatovich serves as Portfolio Manager for Gateway, where he is responsible for generating investment ideas, managing portfolio holdings, and undertaking fundamental and valuation analysis on prospective investments. Mr. Gramatovich works directly with trading and execution to ensure the individual holdings are in line with portfolio objectives. Mr. Gramatovich began his career at Cowen and Company in New York in 2011. While there he served as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Capital Markets division, assisting in both equity and high yield debt financings, participating in all stages of the structuring and marketing process. He joined Peritus Asset Management in 2013 as a Credit Research Analyst, with a focus on the oil and gas, telecom and transportation industries, and participated in credit selection and management for an actively managed high yield ETF. Mr. Gramatovich graduated from the University of Alberta School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting. Mr. Gramatovich is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.

David M. Flaherty

Mr. Flaherty serves as the Head of Trading and Execution for Gateway’s high yield bond and leverage loan activities. He plays a key role in sourcing high yield bonds and leveraged loans in both the primary and secondary market and ensuring that the firm’s strategy and portfolio objectives are properly implemented. Mr. Flaherty began his investment career with Peritus Asset Management in 2004, serving as Senior Trader. Mr. Flaherty has 15 years of experience in the high yield bond and leverage loan market and over that time has developed strong trading relationships in the secondary and new issue corporate credit Mr. Flaherty graduated from Westmont College in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business.

Thomas J. Friedmann

Tom Friedmann serves on the advisory committee for Gateway providing expertise in credit agreements, covenant analysis and bond indentures as well as amendments to all of the aforementioned. He is the managing partner of Dechert’s Boston office and co-chair of Dechert’s Global Capital Markets Practice, represents domestic and non-U.S. issuers and investment banks in public and private securities transactions. Mr. Friedmann also advises corporate clients on securities law, corporate governance and general corporate matters, including financial restructuring and securitization transactions. Mr. Friedmann is also the co-head of Dechert’s Permanent Capital Practice and regularly advises alternative asset managers in accessing permanent capital through business development companies (BDCs), closed-end funds and other vehicles. Having represented both issuers and underwriters on the organization and listings of numerous BDCs, Mr. Friedmann assists companies in navigating securities laws and sensitive disclosure matters under the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the Investment Company Act of 1940. He is a frequent speaker and has been quoted in various media outlets regarding developments and trends affecting BDCs and other alternative investment vehicles, an area in which Dechert has been identified as a leader by The Legal 500, a leading legal directory. Mr. Friedmann graduated from Harvard in 1985 with a BA in Geology and earned MBA and Law Degrees from the University of Virginia in 1991.

Kevin X. Reynolds

Mr. Reynolds serves on the advisory committee for Gateway providing expertise in a number of areas including refinancings, exchange offers and debt amendments. He is a co-founder of Reynolds Gormly and has over 35 years of experience in origination of corporate debt securities and corporate recapitalizations in both domestic and emerging markets. From 2015 – 2018, he served as the head of debt capital markets origination for Cantor Fitzgerald. Before Cantor Fitzgerald, Mr. Reynolds was the global head of debt and equity capital markets for Cowen & Company. Mr. Reynolds also spent 12 years at UBS where he was the head of corporate, transportation, esoteric and distressed asset backed securities. He also acted as the global co-head of corporate recapitalizations liability management, exchange offers, tenders, consent solicitations, waivers and reorganizations for US domestic, European, and emerging market corporate bonds. Mr. Reynolds received his undergraduate degree from Boston College and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1984.

Matt Gormly

Matt serves on the advisory committee for Gateway. He is a founder and Managing Partner of Reynolds Gormly where he is responsible for origination and execution of capital markets opportunities and firm general management. Prior to Reynolds Gormly, Matt played a leadership role in the growth and evolution of Wicks Capital Partners as a Managing Partner for 17 years before departing the firm in 2016. At Wicks he on originating, acquiring, managing, growing and divesting its portfolio of control buyout investments. Matt has extensive experience in all aspects of the investment process including acquisitions, strategic planning and divestitures. Additionally, Matt was responsible for all financing activities, including acquisitions, add-ons, leveraged recaps and refinancing’s of portfolio companies primarily in the information, education, and media industries. Previously, Matt was a Managing Director at BCI Advisors, a middle market growth equity and control buyout investment firm where he was responsible for originating new investments, arranging financing for transactions and managing those investments through the sale processes. Matt has been on the Board of Directors of over 25 private companies over his 30 years as an investor. Matt earned a BA in Economics from Hampden–Sydney College, and an MBA in finance, from Wake Forest University.
